Twenty lakes basin

Twenty lakes basin is one of my top 3 hikes in California.
Saddlebag lakes trail is a trail about 5 miles long if you catch the water taxi across Saddlebag lake. If you do not do the taxi it is about 8.5 miles. Starting at an elevation of 10,128 ft. The trail isnt to hard as you have allready started pretty high. You will pass lake after lake, all very beautiful!!!

Saddlebag Lake Trail

Just east of Yosemite National Park, Saddlebag Lake is popular for day hikes, fishing and backpacking. A loop trail goes around the lake for fishing and hiking. There is also a water taxi from the marina at the Saddlebag Lake Resort that goes to the far end of the lake. Trails extend into what is commonly called the 20 Lakes Basin.

Which way to go !! So many choices ...

This was the view from the top of the ridge which I believe is called Burro pass. It is at 11,200 feet. Looking out over other peaks in the southern sierra that range up to 13,500 feet. Beautiful view !!!
