I will be going to the coast next week to camp near Point Reyes National Seashore. This is one of my favorite places on this earth !!! Well, at least what I have seen of the earth. It is not far from San Francisco and one of the amazing places along the Northern California Coastline !
These waterfalls run right into the ocean ! It is a few miles hike to get to them but a beautiful hike as well.

That entire coastline is spectacular. Yet my only visit to Pt Reyes I hiked to Skycamp in the late afternoon and back in the morning. I look forward to the view through your lens.
ReplyDeleteGaelyn, Sky camp is nice. Lots of trails in point reyes and none of them will dissapoint you !!! Hope you get to make there again one day. I lived in Truckee for 20 years before I went there ( 3 hour drive from Truckee) and once I discovered point reyes , WoW ! I try to go every spring. Love it so much.
ReplyDeleteI spent some time on the N. CA coast back when I was a kid of 18 and just loved it. Some friends had an old hippie van and we took off from Colorado with very little money, kind of worked our way out there (i.e., panhandled and did day jobs). We camped on the shore, which I doubt if you can do now. I'll never forget how beautiful it was. Looking forward to your photos.

But when I lived in Northern California, I lived paycheck to paycheck....today it would be different. But I don't live there anymore:) I look forward to the amazing vistas and BIRDS!!!
